goal setting

I read a really good post today about goal setting. Usually I just skim through these kinda posts, because they almost always say the same thing: it's up to you, you're better than you think blah blah blah. I mean, that is all true and all, but how exactly do we goal set?

And then, ta-da... a world lit up the page like no other. "WHY", she said. When we goal set, we tend to focus on the WHAT are we going to do and HOW are we going to go about it. Seems familiar, right? But hardly, hardly do we ever question WHY. Why is this important to me? is the first question we should ask ourselves when we set goals, and make sure the answer to it is darn good.

If you can't come up with an answer, it's probably a goal not worth pursuing.
